McDonald's New Health Conscious "The Corner" Cafe

McDonalds is about to spend $1 Billion dollars re branding themselves towards a new, healthier image, and "The Corner" cafe in Sydney Australia is the first step in this journey.  The interior is based on a modern cafe, with barista's dressed not in McDonalds uniforms, but chambray shirts and denim jeans.  Yellow and red have been replaced with white tiled walls, an indoor herb garden, and a menu that features items like poached pear, fresh quinoa salads, and filtered coffee.  If you're in the area, check it out!

RVCAloha Hawai'i

RVCA has continued to show their love of all things art and community.  In their latest instalment of RVCAloha the crew got together to enjoy the surf, skate and good times in Hawai'i, while throwing a great bash and creating a sick mural by the local skate park thanks to RVCA artists Dmote and Soul.  Action Bronson hosted and performed at the party, and from the looks of it, a good time was had by all.

Sophie Simmons, Coming of Age

If you were like me, you may have caught a young Sophie Tweed-Simmons on the reality TV show "Gene Simmons, Family Jewels",  after all the show ran for 8 seasons, and brought the children of super-couple Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed into the spotlight.  Well Sophie has grown up since the show went off the air, and she seems to have become a strong roll model for young women and for the fight against the manipulation of the female body image.

Sophie recently did an extended interview with Yahoo! Style that talks about her growth as a woman, and her development from reality tv star to fashion designer.  She now designs a line called Sophie x TheStyleClub that consists of floral leggings, loose cardigans, and sequined skirts that reflect both Tweed-Simmons’s style, and her respect for the strong women that she idolized.  Check out the full article at yahoo.com

New York based Streetwear brand LPD New York has teamed up with sportswear giant adidas for their first collaboration.  Known for their Dream Team line of tee's, jersey's and hoodies, the brand branched out into higher end RTW lines in 2013.  Now in its third year of existence, LPD New York has landed some huge exposure by linking up with adidas.
