American Eagle Outfitters Holiday Lookbook

Maybe it's the fact that I used to work for American Eagle Outfitters, but I have always held a soft spot in my heart for their take on American Prep Style.  The youthful aesthetic, and modern styling come together for some pretty great stuff, and not to mention good quality and price point for a mass produced line such as theirs.  Here are a few shots of their online blog, and if you're quick AE is offering 40% off everything on their website, plus free shipping, over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Check it out online at ae.com.

Premium Outlet Shopping

So today I will be headed to the Orlando Premium Outlets to do some serious Christmas shopping. I know it's still early but the last time I was down here I pretty much got the whole family done.

Yesterday was spent at the Polo grounds. We watched a match, sipped champaigne, and stomped divits. It was truly amazing.

Alexander Wang x H&M Lookbook

H&M have released the lookbook for their new collaboration with American designer Alexander Wang.  The lookbook isn't getting the type of fan fare that some would hope, but as Highsnobiety suggest, when you look at the pieces individually they make a much nicer statement.  Check out the individual pieces online at highsnobiety.com and you can pick them up at hm.com starting November 6, 2014.

Vans: Sidestripe Origins

Our friends over at Nylon Guys Magazine put out a feature on the iconic Vans Sidestripe recently, and I felt I had to share it with you all.  The shoe itself transcends the skate and action sports world, and has become a part of classic Americana.  Check out what Nylon Guys had to say, and get your own Vans Sidestripes here.

Babe of the Day - Kate Upton

Kate Upton has a way of stirring men up.  Her curves are something strait out of the past, and her girl next door look drives guys wild.  But it seems that her real appeal, is that she makes guys laugh.  Check out this GQ article for some proof. Kate Upton - GQ "We Found Her First"

James Dean - King of Cool

I post a lot of older pics of Steve McQueen because I truly think he is one of the most stylish, badass characters that's ever graced the big screen.  James Dean fits into that category as well.  The Rebel Without a Cause, he's an original who stood apart from the rest of the film industry. When you think of the classic Americana look of blue jeans and a white t-shirt, Dean is the man you think of.  Lana Del Rey wrote a song about him, and even 58 years after his death he still inspires people everywhere with the idea of the Rebel.

The King of Cool - Steve McQueen

When it comes to style, there is no one as badass as Steve McQueen.  A true icon of Americana, McQueen was known to be a rough and tumble guy, equally as at home in a three piece suit as he was racing one of his many Porsche's.  Steve did everything to the extreme, wrecking cars, bedding co-stars, and producing a great catalogue of films to look back on.
