In4mation Winter 2014 Lookbook

Hawaii based brand In4mation has just released a new lookbook showcasing their latest and greatest products.  Featuring tee's, caps, sweaters, some featuring their "hi" logo.  The lookbook is pretty slick, and makes me feel like I want to trek to the islands and spend some time looking for the skate and surf.

A Bathing Ape - Year of the Horse

A Bathing Ape has come out with a small capsule collection just in time for the Chinese new year that celebrates the Year of the Horse.  The collection features t-shirts, a play on the traditional A Bathing Ape shark head hoodie, and a reversible jacket.  The baby Milo shirt is pretty sweet.

Coachella 2014 Lineup Announced

The lineup for the Coachella Music Festival 2014 has just been announced, and the big news is the confirmation that OutKast will be re-uniting for the first time in eight years to headline the Friday night portion of the festival.  Other notable acts include Arcade Fire, Pharrell Williams, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Beck, Calvin Harris, Chromeo, Lana Del Rey, Motorhead, Kid Cudi amd MGMT.  Check out the full lineup below.

What Exactly is Pitti Uomo?

Pitti Uomo kicks off today, and while the #menswear world is buzzing with the hype that comes this time of the year, we thought it'd be the right time to break down exactly what this bi-annual event is.

Aside from being a destination to potentially get snapped by street-style gawds Scott Schuman and Tommy Ton, Pitti Uomo is a place of business. As the men's portion of the Pitti Immagine collection of fashion events, Pitti Uomo is a tradeshow in Florence, Italy that's been around since 1972. It's a four-day market-facing event in which retailers, buyers, and editors come together to view upcoming collections (in this case, Fall 2014).

Most importantly, brands gather under one roof to display a full season (mainly) for buyers, who select the pieces and quantities they wish to order. This is the moment that stores decide what they're going to eventually sell to you, the customer. Once these orders are filled out, the brands spend the next few months producing the correct quantity and they eventually make their way to stores approximately six months later.

I know lately we've been really into the whole streeetwear thing, but we wanted to bring things back a little to our action sports roots with this sweet Quiksilver zip up.  With logo printing on the right chest and back, as well as the right sleve, the Torrance hoodie incorporates a little bit of what is going down in streetwear with hardcore logo culture, but is still perfect for an early moring surf sesh or late night bonfire.  Check it out online here.
